Chena-Goldstream Fire & Rescue (CGFR) is a family oriented, community rooted, learning focused, all-hazards emergency services agency serving over 800 square miles of the Fairbanks North Star Borough. OPEN POSITIONS

SHIFT OFFICER

A field leadership role, perfect for strong, motivated candidates with supervisory aspirations.

You will:

• ·         Serve as a shift leader over paid staff, volunteers, and students
• ·         Act as lead medic and incident command on scenes
• ·         Coordinate and assist with Fire and EMS Training (based on position)
• ·         Work 48/96 rotating shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• ·         IFSAC Firefighter II
• ·         EMT-3, AEMT, or Paramedic (Paramedic preferred)
• ·         Apparatus Operator/Pumper certification
• ·         AHA BLS Provider card
• ·         Alaska Driver License

DRIVER/MEDIC

For professionals ready to take the wheel—literally and figuratively.

You will:

• ·         Operate ambulances, engines, and tenders
• ·         Respond to fire and EMS incidents as lead medic
• ·         Support shift leadership and crew safety
• ·         Work 48/96 rotating shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• ·         IFSAC Firefighter II
• ·         EMT-3, AEMT, or Paramedic (Paramedic preferred)
• ·         Documented Apparatus Operator/Pumper experience (FADO preferred)
• ·         AHA BLS Provider card
• ·         Alaska Driver License
• ·         Strong teamwork and communication skills
